Trane Technologies' Ocean Bookings System Overview
Trane Technologies has embarked upon a multi-year transformation of its systems and processes aimed at improving service to both internal and external customers. e2Open Bookings provides one consolidated application to coordinate ocean and over-the-road transport while improving our logistics operations.
Suppliers and Shippers will use our Ocean Bookings Customer Portal to initiate the request for ocean freight bookings for all direct material purchase orders placed by Trane Technologies. This tool is required to be used for all transactions in which Trane Technologies is responsible for the payment and management of transportation services.
As our supplier, you are required to enter information into the Ocean Bookings Customer Portal. Inputting information such as:
- Request ocean bookings for all transactions using Incoterms 2020 (except DAP, DPU, DDP)
- Provide Purchase Order Reference Numbers
- Provide Cargo Ready Date and Need by Date to Final Destination
- Review Shipment and Delivery Status
Trane Technologies will use the Ocean Transportation Management System to:
- Manage all bookings with our carriers and freight forwarders in accordance to product ready date and need by date at destination
- Monitor advance booking request and on-time bookings at origin
- Monitor carrier allocations, space capacity and on-time delivery
